Dr. Douglas Den Uyl will speak on “The Essence of Capitalism” to my Business and Economic Ethics class on Thursday. Please see the flyer for details.
Den Uyl received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Marquette University and is currently Vice-President of Educational Programs at Liberty Fund, Indianapolis. Among his many publications are The Virtue of Prudence, God, Man, and Well-Being: Spinoza’s Modern Humanism, and Norms of Liberty (co-authored with Douglas Rasmussen). A collection of critical scholarly essays on Rasmussen and Den Uyl’s work, edited by Aeon Skoble, is entitled Reading Rasmussen and Den Uyl.
