I’m right there with you! The Argument sketch is the best thing Monty Python ever did! I remember hearing it on radio for the first time back in the 70s and absolutely fell in love with it. I almost have the whole thing committed to memory now! And you are right about the philosophical underpinnings. I also love the early comedy of Steve Martin, who also based a lot of it on his philosophical studies.
