A summer trip to the family homestead in Canada brought me face to face with this pastel portrait my parents had done of me at age 7 or 8. Aside from the slightly crazed look in my (older me) eyes, I like the contrast and continuity.

It’s great: I see the continuity. If your latter expression is a touch crazed it’s likely a reflection of what you’re taking on. Myself, at the end of an extra long shift I tend to look like Nick Nolte in his mug shot.
