“On August 17, I spoke with Dr. Stephen Hicks, professor in the philosophy department at Rockford University. Dr. Hicks is the author of the influential and courageous 2004 book Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault, which is perhaps even more relevant and important now than it was when it was published.
“The book itself can be purchased here at Amazon. …
“Why is this all relevant? Because our culture finds itself currently embroiled in a war of ideas, and those ideas must be understood.”
Excellent!
When is the conversation going to resume?
What are the main elements for a Neo-Enlightenment counterattack?
What is the title of your new book? And when is it going to be published?
Eagerly waiting…
Professor Hicks, thank you. What about the fact that once a “need” is established, a “remedy” is established. Quite an amazing phenomenon. What EXACTLY does it take, to allow or “cause” such a situation to take place?
IMO. we are witnessing ignorantance, coming from someone who regards himself as ignorant, not by choice but by shadow self.
Brilliant! Thank you, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Hicks!
What does it take to turn off our better understanding of the world and just believe in something… For better or for worse.
