Do you control your life? From this Archbridge Institute report by Clay Routledge on existential agency in America, a key finding — note this big generation gap:
A minority (39%) of American adults under the age of 25 agree or strongly agree that they have the power to live a meaningful life. For all age groups 25 and older, a majority of Americans agree or strongly agree that they have the power to live a meaningful life.
The report also presents data on self-reports of agency for men and women, different ages, levels of education, marital status, employment status, and income.
